Game 1 Spring 2008
This weekend the U14 girls had their first spring season games in Durango. The first game was against the Durango U13/14 A team. Montrose Avalanche played a tough game with no subs......they lost 3-2. Both Jamaica and Hannah scored.....great defense by Hannah, Kylee, Robin and of course our sole goalie for the day - Shae, who did an awesome job with easily over a dozen saves during the two games.
The second game was against Durango U13/14 B team. The Montrose girls were definitely fired up for this game and played really well. Depite playing part of the game down one player due to an injury, the girls won 4-0 with goals scored by Jamaica (3), and Timone (1).
The weather was beautiful - sunny, cool and a little breezy. A BIG THANKS to all the girls that made the committment to the team to go to Durango and the parents (Bill, Cindy, Susan, Debbie, Donna, Myke, Carle and Andrea) for driving. The 11 players got a lot of playing time and all were appreciative that there were just enough girls so the games did not have to be cancelled. Also- thanks to Andrea for being our line ref for both games!
We will play Delta at Sunset Mesa on Tuesday (4/15) at 5:30. Please wear/bring your uniforms (both shirts and socks).
